Pocoapoco is a US non-profit organization based in Oaxaca, Mexico. Our primary program is a five-week residency made up of international and local residents who come together to think, work, discuss and collaborate.
With a focus on shared practice & dialogue, the residency supports and connects individuals, ideas and practices catalyzing social discourse, understanding and change.
Our Live Arts Fellowship is offered in partnership with a NECIA, a local performing arts studio, to Latin American performance artists interested in taking part in our five -week residency program. The fellowship is open to performance artists who live anywhere in the world — an invitation to apply with performance & education-based proposals that encourage relation through movement.
Fellows are offered full residency scholarships to support and share their practice. As part of this exchange, fellows offer a publicly accessible workshop as well as a one small public function at Pocoapoco during their time at the residency. Fellows are active participants in the residency program at Pocoapoco.
