Award Amount | Cantidad: $2,500

The NFA Puerto Rico Artist Grant is open to artists currently residing in Puerto Rico. This grant is one of the new grant opportunities under the NFA and supports the production of work that will be created and presented in Puerto Rico. In this capacity, NALAC aims to contribute to the restoration and sustainability efforts of artistic and cultural practices by artists residing on the island. Funds can be used for artist and project fees, supplies and materials, repairs and/or purchase of equipment, as well as other expenses due to loss of income.

NALAC anticipates awarding ten (10) Puerto Rico Artist Grants for projects taking place in 2019. Through a partnership with Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater, at least two of the grants will be awarded in the Performing Arts. For the purposes of this grant, performing arts are defined as any form of creative activity that is performed in front of an audience, such as theater, music, dance, and their hybrid forms.
