NALAC Announces 2026 NFA: Individuals and Ensembles Meet the Moment Grant
$5,000 Grants to Fund Artistic/Cultural Projects, Initiatives, and Opportunities that Influence Social Change
March 2, 2026, San Antonio, Texas – The National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC) announces an open call for applications for the 2026 NALAC Fund for the Arts (NFA): Individuals and Ensembles Meet the Moment Grant. NALAC will award 20 individuals and ensembles with grants of $5,000 each to support them in addressing public concerns and/or influencing social change through artistic/cultural projects, initiatives, and opportunities.
“Latinx/é artists across the nation are actively, artfully responding and offering alternatives to our current cultural moment and conditions,” said NALAC Director of Programs Cat Rodríguez. “Now is a critical time to buttress artists and cultural workers who rise to meet our moment, generating social change and sparking critical dialogue through their creative practice.”
Recognizing the transformative power of the arts in social change, the 2026 NFA: Individuals and Ensembles Meet the Moment Grants are available to Latinx/é individual artists, individual cultural workers, and ensembles (defined as a group of artists working together) who are 18 years of age or older, and based in the U.S., including Puerto Rico. The funds must directly support the applicant in addressing public concerns and/or influencing social change through artistic/cultural projects, initiatives, or opportunities. A live virtual Cafecito office hour hosted by NALAC staff will be held to answer questions about applying for the 2026 NFA: Individuals and Ensembles Meet the Moment Grant and provide technical support. Spanish- language interpretation will be available. Registration is required to attend.
