El Barrio by SUPAKID
To support the production of “El Barrio by SUPAKID”, a social anthology, comprised of 5 small books that document the structures and daily life in ten barrios of Puerto Rico, before being erased from the collective memory. These books by SUPAKID will create an important archive of images and moments of life in a colony. Being vulnerable to natural disasters creates an urgency to document these spaces. The lack of action from the Puerto Rican government to preserve any cultural identity, pushes me to rescue the tangible manifestation of these images. Funding supports travel, studio expenses and final production of the books.
