SILADO (San Juan, PR) is a multidisciplinary artist, designer, educator, and licensed professional mental health counselor (LPC). Her work explores the intersection of visual arts and emotional experience, addressing themes such as grief, mental health, memory, and personal transformation.

Her practice draws on mixed media, sculpture, drawing, paper, fiber, and textiles, intertwining the intimate and the symbolic in compositions that invite introspection and empathy. Counseling enriches her artistic perspective with a deep understanding of the emotional world and healing processes. She has formal training in art and design. Her pedagogical and artistic work is interwoven with a vocation of care and sensitivity toward untold stories, invisible grief, and ways of supporting one another in community. In her work, the body becomes an emotional landscape, and textiles a metaphor for time and memory. She complements her artistic and therapeutic work with cultural management and facilitating psychoeducational workshops for diverse populations.

She holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Professional Counseling and a Master’s degree in Graphic Design, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Painting from the Escuela de Artes Plásticas y Diseño de Puerto Rico. Additionally, her work has been exhibited in several museums across Puerto Rico and featured in collective exhibitions both locally and internationally.
