Michelle Murillo (She/Her) is a visual artist and educator working across traditional and innovative forms. Murillo’s work is exhibited widely with solo exhibitions in the United States, Canada, Spain, Argentina, and Ireland, as well as notable group exhibitions at galleries and museums. She is the recipient of numerous grants and residencies including Edition Basel, Switzerland and Can Serrat, Spain; Headlands Center for the Arts, California; Guanlan Printmaking Base, China; Bullseye Glass, Oregon, and Fundación’ace, Argentina. Her work can be found in the collections of the Fine Art Museum of San Francisco; the Library of Congress, Washington, DC; the Museum of History, Anthropology and Art, San Juan, Puerto Rico; The Janet Turner Print Museum, Chico, California, and the China Print Museum, Shenzhen, China among others. Murillo is an Associate Professor and Chair of Printmedia at California College of the Arts, San Francisco. Murillo received her MFA in printmaking from the University of Alberta, Canada, and her BFA in painting from Boston University.
