Marisol Rosa-Shapiro

Marisol is a cultural worker, theater artist, and educator. She is a member of the teaching artist ensemble at the New Victory Theater in NYC, where she developed The Seven Ravens Project, an original work of theater for children and families, as a lead artist in the LabWorks new work development program.

While serving on TYA/USA’s BIPOC in TYA Advisory Board, she supported the creation of TYA/USA’s Anti-Racist and Anti-Oppressive Futures guide for the field and helped facilitate affinity spaces for people of color in TYA. In 2023, Marisol made her Off-Broadway directorial debut with Spellbound Theater’s WINK at the New Victory Theater. She is a graduate of Princeton University and of Helikos International School of Theatre Creation in Florence, Italy. Her additional affiliations include Philadelphia’s Theatre Horizon and Shakespeare in Clark Park, NYC’s Target Margin Theater, The Up Close Festival at the New Ohio Theatre, and Clowns Without Borders USA
