Lucía Abramovich Sánchez is the Associate Curator of Latin American Art at the San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA). She recently reinterpreted and reinstalled SAMA’s Latin American Popular Art gallery, and co-curated the museum’s presentation of the exhibition No Ocean Between Us: Art of Asian Diasporas in Latin America & the Caribbean, 1945-Present. She previously held curatorial positions at the New Orleans Museum of Art and at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian. Abramovich Sánchez holds a Ph.D. from the Latin American Studies & Art History joint doctoral program at Tulane University.
