Isabel Alexander Servantez III

Isabel was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. While an undergrad at The University of Texas at San Antonio he was exposed to Chicano art by Malaquias Montoya, the renowned Chicano artist. While in graduate school at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago he gained experience curating art exhibitions, developed his skills as a scholar of Chicano art and continued a small art making practice he had since before attending graduate school. Isabel is currently gaining experience curating as the Semmes Foundation curatorial intern at the McNay Art Museum in San Antonio, Texas. Aside from work he continues to further scholarship about Chicano art, while further developing his art making practice.
