Gabriela Kane Guardia completed an MA in Latin American Studies at UT Austin with an Arts and Cultural Management and Entrepreneurship portfolio. Her fieldwork engaged Chilean cultural policy and Indigenous participation in the establishment of the Ministry of Cultures. She is currently the Operations Manager for Texas Folklife. After earning her BA in International Studies and Spanish from Texas A&M, Gabriela managed the SEAD Gallery in Historic Downtown Bryan. She interned with Texans for the Arts during the 86th Texas Legislature. Gabriela is passionate about culturally-specific STEAM education, shown through her service with Innovation Collaborative and Latinitas. In 2020, she was selected as an Austin Emerging Arts Leader mentee.
