Lolis García received her BA Social Sciences from USF. A talented musician and dancer, Lolis’ focus is Mexican son. In 2005, she received an ACTA grant for an intensive master-apprentice program where she studied with Artemio Posadas. She performed with her mentor as part of The Kennedy Center’s “Homegrown: The Music of America” series in 2014. In 2016, when he received an NEA National Heritage Fellowship, Lolis performed with him at a celebratory concert in Washington DC. In 2017, they performed again at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival. She has been with East Bay Center for 26 years.
