Cenorina was born in Sinaloa and grew up in Arizona. She now resides in Oakland California and received a BFA from California College of the Arts. Cenorina identifies as undocumented and is passionate about social activism. Her visual work grabs from her personal experiences using her traumas to examine social issues of marginalization and inspire education and change. Through her work she illustrates the complexities of identity, mental health, and oppression brought on by colonization. She is and arts educator and runs Mi Casita Press, an artist collective publishing press created to empower and promote qtpoc individuals through print.
