Carlos David is a multimedia artist, photographer, and videographer focusing on diversity and inclusion. His portraiture explores the complex relationship between self-perception and the observer’s perspective. His body of work brings together a diverse community bound together by the collective act of manifesting their fantasies and dreams. As a Mexican American born in the United States and raised in the North of Mexico, he continues to explore identity and the Latino experience worldwide. David has received the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council Creative Engagement and Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone Arts Engagement Grants. He is a recipient of the Adobe Artist Development Fund and an alumnus of Creative Capital “Taller.” His project PERSONAE has been shortlisted for the Aesthetica Magazine Art Prize and nominated for the Fine Art Photography Awards. David’s work has been exhibited in New York City (USA), York (England), Ljubljana (Slovenia), Rovinj (Croatia), and Saltillo (Mexico).
