About

Antonieta Landa (She/Her) is the Event Manager for El Museo del Barrio. Her practice has focused on the work of Latino artists outside their countries of origin, specifically on the relationship between identity and territory and the euro-centered interpretation of this identity. From 2013 to 2019 she was based in Shanghai funding AL Works, an organization dedicated to taking contemporary South American art to Mainland China and Hong Kong, and its focus to escape from the exoticism where Latin American art has been portrayed. Landa is the founder and director of La Revista, Chilean Creatures Magazine, a magazine that seeks to be a platform for Chilean artists and creatives working or showing their work in the USA. She holds a bachelor’s in arts from Universidad Finis Terrae, a diploma in Art History from PUC de Chile, and a MA in Art Politics from NYU. The Latinx Project awarded her a Public Humanities fellowship in 2022.
