A FronterizXperience
A FronterizXperience is a conceptual, musical album that seeks to amplify the Transfronterizx queer community and what it is like to live as a Tranfronterizx along both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. Through lyrics, music, and musical storytelling, the album will explore the power imbalances that manifest as unjust government decisions and lead to discrimination and violence towards queer, transgender, the lower class and migrant communities. Simultaneously focusing on the beauty, resilitence and resistance witnessed at the border from personal experience, artist Amalia Mondragón seeks to promote conversations that influence change in the narratives around gender fluidity, xenophobia, migration and the lower class.
