Abby Hermosilla Rivera is the Curatorial Associate at Art Bridges Foundation located in Bentonville, AR. Born and raised in Ohio, Abby received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Art History at Kent State University. Her graduate research and professional practice are concerned with the disruption of the monolithic concept of American art through narrative re-centering and community-based meaning-making. Informed by her experiences as a first-generation citizen, she hopes to further investigate the ways in which art, museums, and visual culture contribute to the understanding of Latinidad in the United States.
“Something that excites me about participating in the NLI is the opportunity to connect with folks from many stages of their careers/practices. I’m thrilled to get to know my cohort and gain perspectives across multiple disciplines in the arts.”
