Raúl Romero is an artist, arts administrator, and educator based in Philadelphia, PA, working in sound, sculpture, installation, and performance. He holds a B.A. from the University of South Florida and an MFA from Yale University School of Art. He is the Director for Special Projects and Assistant Adjunct Professor at the University of the Arts. Romero has been awarded the Velocity Fund and an artist fellowship from the NALAC. Romero is a member of Vox Populi Gallery and participated as a resident artist at the Lenapehoking Waterspirit Residency at the Pocono Environmental Center for Education and RAIR, Recycling Artist in Residence program at Revolution Recovery in Philadelphia.

Romero has exhibited at the Temple Contemporary, Locust Projects, Taller Puertorriqueño, Yale School of Art, The Kitchen, The Denver Contemporary Art Museum, Transformer Gallery, Pentimenti Gallery, Delaware Center for Contemporary Art, The Contemporary Art Museum in Tampa, The Tampa Museum of Art and The Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa.
