Marianna Lucero is the daughter of a Mexican immigrant and a first-generation college student. She holds a BFA in Theatre, Film and Television and a Graduate Teacher Education Master’s Degree in Urban Community Teaching from the University of Colorado Denver. She is graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with her Masters of Arts in Theatre Education.
Marianna is a company actor for Su Teatro, Denver, Colorado’s first and only Chicanx Theatre Company. She also serves as a public-school elementary theatre and dance teacher for Denver Public Schools. In addition, she has been recognized by her district as a leader in student work that centers around cultural inclusivity, building social awareness, and advocating for positive social change in communities of color.
