Stephanie Mercado is a first generation Mexican-American artist from Boyle Heights, Los Angeles. She has worked in arts administration since 2007, while maintaining her arts practice. She has experience in exhibition planning, art gallery management, working with corporations and private clients on collections and acquisitions. She has also worked as an artist’s assistant, as a costumer and production assistant in film. She received a BFA from California State Long Beach in Drawing & Painting. She’s exhibited internationally including exhibitions in Spain, Canada, New York, Colorado, Texas and Illinois. She is currently the Development Associate for Self Help Graphics & Art. Stephanie Mercado received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drawing and Painting from California State University Long Beach. Her professional experience includes art gallery management, designing advertisements and promotional materials for print and for general marketing purposes, website construction, digital renderings, fine art production and costume construction. She has also worked directly with artists and film-makers as a production assistant.
