Born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico in a bicultural Puerto Rican/ New Mexican household Luna Olavarría Gallegos is a writer, curator and technologist who works around themes of internet, diaspora, and culture. As a curator, she has organized panels, showcases and film festivals that highlight the work of Black and Latin American artists. Her written pieces on music, race and technology have been published in outlets including The Guardian, The FADER and REMEZCLA. She is currently a graduate student at New York University’s Interactive Telecommunications Program researching technological and artistic interventions to more sustainable ecosystems and cultural topographies.
