About
Jennifer Herrera is a native San Antonian and has worked in the non-profit field for over 10 years, where she has specialized in public relations, social media and community engagement efforts. She has written for publications such as the San Antonio Current, the San Antonio Express-News, Conexion, and San Antonio Magazine. Jennifer has earned her bachelor’s degree in communication arts (with a focus in journalism) from Our Lady of the Lake University (OLLU). She returned back to OLLU to earn a master’s degree in nonprofit management. Jennifer holds a Social Media Communications Certificate from the San Antonio Area Foundation and the H-E-B School of Business at the Incarnate Word. Jennifer was a National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures (NALAC) 2017 Fellow.
She is currently a board member with the Friends of Spare Parts. She is also a co-founder of Make San Antonio, a creative hub for makers of all ages. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their young son breaking things and putting them back together.
