Lecturer, Asst – Choral
Associate Director of Choral Activities/Music Education. This is a two-year, Assistant Lecturer position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct choral ensembles
Teach music education classes in the choral area
Build and maintain relationships with state and regional K-12 and community college music educators
Work cooperatively with colleagues, staff, and students and participate fully in the Vocal Arts Area
Assist in the supervision of student teachers
Additional teaching responsibilities may include other assignments according to the interests of the candidate and the needs of the department
As an instructor in the Choral Methods sequence, candidates will prepare pre-service teachers to meet expectations of the 21st century classroom.

Doctorate required at the time of appointment in August 2020
Candidates must possess a strong background in choral conducting and music education and provide evidence of recent successful public school teaching.
