Building and strengthening Latinx arts and culture networks.
Our gatherings or convenings take different forms, but our approach is always based on fostering partnerships, collaboration and dialogue in the service of common goals.
NALAC National Latinx Summit
Manos a La Obra is a call to action.
On September 30 – October 2, 2021 the NALAC National Latinx Summit was held virtually to gather and engage our imaginations, meet the call of the moment, and assert our collective strength in celebration of 32 years of NALAC, 22 years of our Leadership Institute and 11 years of our Advocacy Leadership Institute.

US:CDMX Transcultural Exchange.
NALAC and Southwest Airlines have been working in partnership to promote, cultivate and advance Latinx arts and cultures in the U.S. and across borders. In 2018 a meeting held in Mexico City gave an opportunity for artists and industry leaders from the US and Mexico to discuss best practices for inclusivity, agency and innovation through arts and culture.

Convening a multitude of regional voices.
Our ongoing Regional Arts Training Workshops are designed to welcome artists, administrators, scholars, and cultural workers interested in developing their practice. Participants learn professional skills that help them grow as artists and leaders while expanding their local networks to address inequalities through an arts lens. An inclusive forum consists of national, regional, and local expertise convening to help improve social issues affecting our varied communities.
In recent years, Regionals have been hosted in Charlotte, NC; San Antonio, TX; Detroit, MI; Miami, FL; Providence, RI; and Bronx, NY.

Let's partner on a convening.
NALAC accepts proposals to convene Regional Arts Training Workshops in various parts of the country. Organizations or individuals interested in hosting a convening in their city are invited to submit a proposal. Please contact us directly for information.
