Associate Producer – Press Play
KCRW, public radio in Los Angeles, is a dynamic and exciting workplace filled with curious and creative people. KCRW is looking for an Associate Producer (Producer II) to join the team of our daily news talk show Press Play. This position will be responsible for generating creative feature segments that embody KCRW’s eclectic spirit. We’re looking for candidates who are:
Mindful collaborators. You’ll support a talented host and collaborate with a close team of experienced producers and engineers.
Smart audio journalists. You are passionate about public radio, but eager to explore podcasts, digital writing and audience engagement on social media.
Excited about Southern California. You’ll be producing and sharing local and regional stories that matter to a diverse audience in — or connected to — SoCal.
Culture Curious. You are avid about culture and entertainment coverage.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Managing Producer. This position is in the SAG-AFTRA Bargaining Unit.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Producing digital content
Required Skills, Knowledge & Qualifications:
Knowledgeable about general news and Southern California
Digital media experience
Knowledge of Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, or equivalent preferred
Data collection and analysis of information from different sources
Strong writing and editing skills
Ability to efficiently prioritize and meet deadlines
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required, Journalism preferred
Minimum 2 years related work experience required
