The Volunteer’s Role


Cuso International in Bolivia is looking for a communications volunteer like you to advise and support CISTAC in their communication strategy.

CISTAC is an organization that has over 20 years of experience on working on positive masculinities and gender equality from the male point of view. During the late boom of masculinities, CISTAC needs support in communications.

You'll work with your local colleagues in transferring your communications knowledge, promoting CISTAC's activities and creating educational opportunities for a positive masculinity approach. You'll help CISTAC to reach an abundance of people that they haven't been able to engage in this important cause.

As a volunteer, you will:

- Develop and implement a communications strategy.

- Share recommendations and improve CISTAC'S official website.

- Support in the design and development of communications tools, materials and online activities.

- Advise and support in the development and management of CISTAC's social media platforms.

- Support CISTAC in their public awareness and promotion.

Essential Academic Qualifications:

Degree on communications, marketing, graphic design or other relevant area.

Essential Professional Background:

- Experience in communications and online activities.


- Experience in website development and design.


Support Package

- Modest monthly living allowance (varies depending country)

- Accommodation while in placement

- Return airfare and visa/work permit costs

- Pre-departure training and in-country orientation

- Travel and accommodation for reintegration debriefing weekend

- Modest support for accompanying partners and dependents going on placement with you for 12 months or longer

- Access to Employee Assistance Program while in placement and upon return

- Cuso International assessment day (Candidates must cover the first $200 of the most cost-effective travel expenses and all accommodation costs).

- Travel and accommodation for the five-day pre-departure training course and for in-country orientation
