THE POSITION A key member of the DUNCH team, the Project Associate works with colleagues to successfully support and execute a diverse range of client projects across multiple artistic disciplines. Successful Project Associates are well-organized administrators and experienced development all-rounders with high computer literacy who can work successfully and competently across the firm’s client portfolio in a supporting capacity. Project Associates function across all areas of the firm’s administration, project management, and fundraising activities. They are capable of functioning in front-facing client roles onsite, or behind the scenes supporting senior colleagues in their own front-facing client roles. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Project Coordination: Plan and administer client project timelines, deliverables, scheduling and staff coordination as directed; serve on project teams and fulfill specified project duties as directed; prepare project materials and fulfill assigned research dockets as directed; track and monitor project logistics and prepare progress reports for senior management review; and undertake related tasks as directed by supervisors. Strategic Planning: Research and execute industry benchmarking and financial analysis assignments; track and monitor project timelines; administer meetings and liaise with client volunteers and staff on project logistics; draft strategic planning documents; and undertake related tasks as directed by supervisors. Fundraising and Capital Campaigns: Research and execute industry benchmarking and competitive donor analysis assignments; track and monitor project timelines; administer meetings and liaise with client volunteers and staff on project logistics; draft fundraising and campaign documents; research and execute prospect research dockets; manage client special events; draft fundraising and campaign proposals; process gifts and produce gift acknowledgements; track project finances; and undertake related tasks as directed by supervisors. Executive Search: Create and manage candidate research dockets and databases; write recruitment sales materials; liaise with clients and candidates; manage and track candidate status; coordinate overall project logistics; write client briefing materials; manage interview processes and post-recruitment customer service follow up; and undertake related tasks as directed by supervisors. External Sales and Marketing: Plan and execute ongoing DUNCH marketing and social media projects in collaboration with colleagues, including researching and writing social media posts, blog entries, website content and e-marketing content; participate in marketing strategy work groups; manage production of marketing collateral; organize client cultivation special events; and undertake related tasks as directed by supervisors. QUALIFICATIONS The ideal applicant for the Project Associate position will have: -A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, with 2-3 years of professional experience in a cultural nonprofit or equivalent business setting. -S/he will be a methodical and detail-oriented individual, with excellent time management skills, who can advance multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. -S/he will have a good telephone manner, good follow-up skills, good writing skills and an excellent knowledge of grammar. -S/he will be highly proficient in Microsoft Office software applications. Experience with Google Docs, cloud-based applications, social media and/or The Raiser’s Edge, Tessitura or other nonprofit fundraising software will be highly regarded. -A Master’s Degree in Arts Administration will be highly regarded.
