Internship and Career Development Program

NALAC is proud to offer an internship program that truly provides hands on experiences in arts non-profit management. We provide resources to help interns sharpen skills and make meaningful contributions in their careers. Intern mentors provide leadership and valuable feedback in addition to a personalized work plan. Schedule and dates of service range from 5-12 hours per week with weekly schedule to be determined by intern and supervisor. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Positions may be renewed or reposted. Interns may be eligible for university/college credit (course/credit must be identified and arranged by intern with counsel from her/ his university/college advisor). NALAC internships are unpaid.

We welcome strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage concurrent projects. Interns are expected to participate in daily activities, contribute skills and ideas, and produce excellent work. To apply, email a one-page letter of inquiry, speaking to experience or interest related to the posted position, outline of career goals, and how an internship with NALAC will assist you in achieving those goals. Clearly indicate the internship position you seek. Include your resume, along with contact information for three academic or professional references (name, title, phone, email).
