Artists who received funding from the NFA during the 2008-2009 cycle must wait one year before applying to the NFA again. Grantees from 2008-2009 are eligible to apply to the NFA once again in 2010-2011 cycle. For a complete list of eligibility, please view the Guidelines . Application Materials When mailing your complete packet, your grant application must include: a. Three (3) copies of the Basic Information Form b. Three (3) copies of the application Narrative Form c. Three (3) copies of the project Budget Detail Form NOTE: The amount of your request should be no more than 50% of your project budget. d. Three (3) copies of the Artist Bios e. Three (3) copies of the Artist statement f. Two (2) copies of letters of commitment (if applicable) g. Relevant work samples Depending on your discipline, please use the following as a guideline for your narrative and in submitting your support materials: Dance Provide a clear sample of your recent work within the past 3 years DVD Format prefered - When submitting DVD's longer than five minutes, please include chapters. Include instructions on what part of the DVD you’d like the panel to view Interdisciplinary ArtsProvide a clear sample of your recent work within the past 3 years DVD and/or CD format preferred. - When submitting DVD's longer than five minutes, please include chapters. Include instructions on what part of your audio visual sample you’d like the panel to view A short written sample of current and/or previous works Literary ArtsA short work sample of your current project (if applicable) Submit three 3-5 page samples which you consider to be your strongest or most represetative work Media ArtsPlease provide a synopsis and a treatment of your project (if applicable). A synopsis is a two or three paragraph description of the project. A treatment is a written description of how the story is translated to the screen. Arts in Education Submit a curriculum outline (include educational standards met by content) Letters of support from the school districts or a letter of support from a master teacher.
